Hi my Friends,
What is the reality present in you, me, and everything in the nature?
My friends, there is a state of mind in all of us that is
equal to the highest spiritual attainment professed by religions which can
sense the reality present in everything around us.
Contrary to what you may
believe, this state of mind is nothing extraordinary, it is a common
understanding that we all have, an understanding we all are based on.
This state of mind can have different titles such as ‘enlightenment’,
‘Nirvana’, ‘Nibbana’, 'Oneness', 'Cosmic consciousness' or even 'God'.
I am going to talk more about
this experience so that hopefully some of you could relate to it.
My friends, the tongue can sense many tastes; sweet, bitter,
sour, spicy etc. We cannot describe them all since there are as many different
tastes as there are food and drinks.
Let me ask you a question. We know many different tastes,
but have we ever noticed the taste of the tongue?
The taste of the tongue remains quite a secret
to us. We notice all the tastes that touch the tongue but not its own taste!
We hear innumerable sounds with our ear, some of which are
familiar and some unfamiliar. There are sounds we even do not notice; because
the world is full of different and indescribable sounds.
We hear them all but have
we ever heard the sound of ear?
The taste of tongue is ever present with us, so
is the sound of ear, but these are things we still do not know.
In the same way, we get to know things with mind;
we get extremely busy with our thoughts, and become overpowered with a
multitude of states of mind; be it responsibility, caring, understanding,
helpfulness, helplessness, dissatisfaction, fear, remorse, interest, you name
it.
There are so many states that we do not even notice many. Every moment one
of them is there to occupy us and the important thing is, it all finally leaves us ignorant of one
important state, the original nature of mind!
My friends, this is the state which can sense the reality
present in everything around us. It is
at the basis of all of us. It unites us all, although continually escaping our
attention.
All humans are endowed with this state. It is nothing
extraordinary as everyone is gifted with it. But due to its elusive nature it
has become an achievement to die for!
And this is exactly why we see it so glorified in religions.
Religions are but glorified structures around this simple phenomenon.
In some
it is an unreachable goal. Some believe it is an afterlife phenomenon. So we
hear of such goals as heaven, God, Nirvana, being with Creator and what not.
It all comes down to knowing the original nature
of mind. The taste of mind is ever
present in us. Get to know it, and you do not need to subject yourself to a
religion or any concept structure anymore.
Concepts are to mind what tastes are
to the tongue and sounds to the ear. They bind you like fetters.
The original taste of mind sets you free from
all concepts that limits your freedom.
Original nature of mind is a heritage that we all can claim
as our birthright.
Just like children can freely move around and play in their
parents houses, and grand-children love to go and play in their grand-parents
farm-yards, the original nature of mind is there as our heritage; we feel
ourselves in familiar surroundings, filled with love and attention in there.
From whom is this heritage?
My friends with this question
you already enter in the realm of religions. Religions differ only in their
explanations on questions like how you inherited the original nature.
A dog looks at its tail and asks ‘where do you come from?’
‘Did someone give you to me, or did you come by yourself?
Well they are all weird questions since the
tail is part of the dog.
In the same way we are used to asking weird questions about
our original nature, there is nothing special because it is part of ourselves.
Just like tastes suppress the taste of the tongue, imaginations (or in other words concepts)
seducing us suppress our original nature. As we are sitting on heaps and heaps
of seductive imaginations we get little chance to see the bottom.
Imaginations can be anything. In crude forms they can make a shaking tree a
devil or a flowing river a god. Hard and fast imaginations are written on books
and brought down from generation to generation as fundamentals. But whether
written down or chronicled among generations imaginations remain what they are,
imaginations.
My friends, it is not easy to see through imaginations.
They
create great God and they create nature. Or they may create an otherwise named
goal such as oneness or Nirvana. I tell
you they are not any of them, they are imaginations!
A person who is a master of paper folding can make many nice
or horrible things; a beautiful flower or a horrid looking devil. Little
children will cry when seeing the devil while trying to get hold of the flower.
But a grown up knows they are just papers and treats them as nice handicrafts.
In the same way when you know what the original mind is
like, you are no more moved by forms created by your imaginations. The
different imaginations may appear worlds apart and totally irreconcilable but
you know they are just papers folded this way or that way to fool children.
All
the non- reconcilable differences in the world melt into nothingness with this
vision.
My friends with this
vision you can get hold of the heritage you are rightly entitled to, without
asking questions like ‘who gave you to me?’
Thanks my friends and hope to see you with another post on reality soon!
If you think you are a person of reality - please share with others these posts so that they could also benefit from it!
And Thanks Radu for being the first follower!
Good Luck Everyone!
