Introduction to the path of seven steps to ultimate spiritual maturity

No man or woman is born perfect. Education makes them knowledgeable but not perfect. Therefore every human is subject to prejudices, misconceptions, and misjudgments. One thinks one’s nation, family or clan is the best and there he falls to prejudice. It may be okay when you think yours is the best, but when your neighbor also claims his is the best there is disagreement as there cannot be two bests; pointing to an obvious fault in someone’s knowledge.

Whole traditions and folklores are misconceptions; if you do not know they are, you are eligible for anything but being perfect. And traditions are part and parcel of our world, what is handed down from the ancient times is given magical power; there is no better way for you to be imperfect than believing your tradition holds the best for the whole rest of the world.
People are blinded by culture, religion, or their own preferences. Fame, wealth, power, attractiveness or charisma can make one stand out among them, but that is far from a reason to be perfect.
If you are looking for the real essence of being human, do not be blinded by what’s in the news and what’s in the media. The glamor and power are seen as necessities of perfection, but those who have them in galore, are far from any perfection. They may even be pathetic existences with more worries and prejudices than you and I have.
The life of a man who is awakened to universality of humanity is a perfect existence. A man who has knowledge of the unity of himself with the nature every passing moment is a perfect man. No cultural or social boundaries exist for him, he is with unbounded knowledge into all aspects of life around him.
Such a man can perceive common roots in every culture; common features in every tradition. No best in the world tradition or culture exist for him as he is able to see the universality of all existing cultures and traditions. In our world today how many of us are even conscious of the existence of a state of such perfection?
The fast development of modern technology however makes it easier for today’s men and women to see this aspect of life better. But their cultural prejudices and preferences exert such a strong pull on them, they are still far from awakening to this truth even when it is becoming more obvious everyday with the help of modern communication.
Knowledge creates peace. If you know what’s happening and if you know you have the control over it, you have nothing to fear. Peace is with you wherever you go, as you are the master of it all. Whether its health, politics, relationships, transactions or family if you are in the know of things you are as steady as a mountain.
This universal knowledge is the ultimate achievement you can make by investing the valuable time of your life. The fame or wealth without this knowledge does not add quality to a life and the gaping holes of imperfection strike back to devastate such a life as long as it is not based on correct knowledge.

                                                  Ignorance and ignorant goals

In our ignorance we believe that our spiritual goals differ according to our culture and our religion. A person brought up in a Christian background will have one goal, while a person brought up in a Buddhist background will totally oppose it and put their trust on another goal. If you are coming from any other religious backgrounds you will have totally different goals and values to both of these.
Think for a moment, is it possible there to exist different spiritual goals for different people just because the language they speak is different from each other or just because their skin color is different?
So a Buddhist will anyway end up in Nirvana, just because that’s what he was believing all his life and a Christian will meet his God, because that’s what he believed. And a Hindu will meet his Brahman as that was his belief according to his background.
Well this is the well accepted convention even in our current world of technological development where products and technologies are made for all these ethnic groups in the same factory and they happily use them laying aside their differences.
As I mentioned in my earlier post the advances in technology lie ahead of the thinking of the current day population of the world. Technology readily accepts and caters to ‘oneness’ of humanity no matter whether they belong to this religion or that tradition. But the humans still believe in different spiritual goals according to their own tradition.
The thinking of humans may lie behind, but what is clear is they are not far from realizing their true religion. The true spiritual goal is not varied but ‘one’. There are no separate tailor-made spiritual goals for different nations and traditions in the great mother nature, she offers but ONE goal to all humanity, just like one study of medicine can cater to any human of any tradition living in any part of the world or ONE technology of mobile phones have captured the fascination of all these creeds.

While this prospect lies ahead in the future, I believe only a few forward thinking people will be interested in this aspect of life right now, to recognize the true spiritual goal stripped of its dense cultural covers that make it almost unrecognizable.
I welcome the presence of such people and invite you all to come forward to spread the word of this universal message to everyone. Amid the advances of technology this is the next level our humanity should step towards in its great march towards advancement.
I have summarized this journey towards perfection into seven-steps. The path is a natural occurrence and anyone familiar with it may formulate any number of steps as to their preference. In my own analysis, I counted seven; it is not because it is a special number.  And I hope to discuss these in due course through the posts on this blog in the future.
